Billy, a recent arrival in town, is the product of a broken home. With a desperate need to be loved, he is befriended by Chris and ends up living with him and his grandparents.

Caitlin, with a curt attitude and sassy view of life, helps her father run a wharf-side business, where she shares her earthy opinions with locals and visitors from away.
